Level System

Stay on Track with the International HSK System

Our private classes use the HSK curriculum to keep your learning progress clear and measurable. The pace and focus can be adjusted: an academic pathway for certification or level progression, or a stronger focus on conversation and listening for Survival Chinese.

With the HSK 3.0 adjustment, each level combines HSK and HSKK (speaking). There are 9 levels in total — the first 3 levels are currently available while we wait for the official release of the remaining curriculum, and Zhongji–Gaoji materials will be adjusted according to the new standard.

HSK 1 — Chūjí 1

Complete beginner. Focus on pinyin, tones, pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and simple sentences.

HSK 2 — Chūjí 2

Advanced beginner. Longer everyday conversations, stronger structures, and more natural responses.

HSK 3 — Chūjí 3

Transition into real communication: speaking for work and social situations, faster listening, and regular reading practice.

HSK 4 — 中级下

Higher intermediate: discussions, opinions, semi-formal situations, and more complex grammar.

HSK 5 — 高级

Advanced: academic and professional communication, longer reading, native-speed listening, and more mature communication.

Packages are calculated per 10 hours (1 hour = 60 minutes). Scheduling is flexible and arranged between the tutor and student.

Note: *Estimated learning hours are based on the experience of previous private students. Progress may be faster because lessons focus on one student, but this still depends on study frequency and consistency. Packages are valid for 2 months. Standard sessions are 60 minutes, with 90-minute sessions available on request (the total package remains 10 hours). Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled lesson; later cancellations will be counted as a completed session.

Private Trial Class

Trial classes are prioritised for prospective students who have already registered and made payment, or those who have not yet paid but are approximately ±80% certain they would like to continue with the programme — because every trial requires dedicated tutor time. If a prospective student has already paid before the trial and feels that the tutor is not the right fit, they may request a tutor change.
